Classes

What will I learn?
Theatre 1
Theatre Arts is a performance/presentation based class that teaches a variety of different elements such as pantomime, public speaking, theatre history, voice and diction, theatrical design and production, musical performance, characterization, improv, script analysis and memorization, as well as acting styles and techniques. In Theatre 1 students are introduced to a wide variety of theatrical skills and concepts so they can decide if it is right for them and hopefully move on to Theatre 2 or a Theatre 3 class in following years.
Theatre 2
Theatre 2 is a performance/presentation based class like Theatre 1, but it's more in depth, teaches a variety of different elements such as pantomime/mime, public speaking, theatre history, voice and diction, theatrical design and production, musical performance, characterization, improv, script analysis and memorization, acting styles and techniques, as well as other elements. The goal is to master these skills to move on to a Theatre 3 class.
Theatre 3
Theatre 3 students learn how to produce every aspect of a live stage play/musical.  Theatre 3 teaches design and acting techniques as well as how to build set pieces, dramaturg a play, directing skills, as well as ensemble work. Each Theatre 3 class produces two plays/musicals each throughout the school year, including children's shows, revues, and competition plays.
